- The National Youth Service Corps has fixed September 7 to 13, 2026, for online registration of prospective corps members in the 2026 Batch C mobilisation exercise, warning that NERD clearance is compulsory.

The National Youth Service Corps has announced Monday, September 7, to Sunday, September 13, 2026, as the period for online registration for prospective members of the 2026 Batch C.
The scheme also warned prospective corps members that National Education Records Database clearance is compulsory before they can complete their NYSC registration.
According to a notice posted on X on Friday, all prospective corps members are required to obtain their NERD Clearance Certificate before commencing the registration process.
The NYSC advised prospective corps members to obtain their NERD clearance early to avoid delays during the mobilisation exercise.
The scheme warned that anyone without the required clearance would not be able to register for the service year.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the notice stated.
It added, “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”
The registration window will open on Monday, September 7, and close on Sunday, September 13.
The NYSC urged all prospective corps members preparing for the 2026 Batch C mobilisation to secure their NERD clearance ahead of the registration period to ensure a smooth registration process.
