A report highlights the luxurious lunch menu at the American International School of Abuja, enjoyed by the children of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, funded with state money.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has accused Bello of misusing state funds for his children’s tuition, contrasting with the hardship faced by the citizens of Kogi State.
A recent disclosure has brought to light the extravagant lunch menu at the American International School of Abuja (AISA), where the children of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello dine.
VerseNews gathered that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had earlier accused Bello of misappropriating state funds to cover his children’s tuition fees at AISA.
According to a menu reviewed by The Whistler, the children enjoy a diverse array of gourmet dishes reminiscent of a high-end restaurant, including Philly cheesesteak, salami pizza, beef kebabs with jollof rice, and more.
Each meal is complemented with fresh salads such as niçoise and fattoush, alongside vegetarian dishes like falafel wraps and tofu with mushrooms. The daily offering also includes fresh fruits and various beverages.
This revelation comes amid accusations lodged by Kogi Conscience in a petition to the EFCC, which highlighted severe mismanagement and hardship under Bello’s administration contrasted sharply with the luxurious schooling experience of his children funded by nearly $846,000 from Kogi State’s treasury.
