I Employed Him Because I’m Not Academically Sound – Peller Reveals Why He Sacked His Master’s Degree Holder Cameraman

Peller confessed in a viral video, revealing why he cut ties with his Master’s degree-holding cameraman.
Despite paying him ₦500,000 upfront, Peller said the cameraman overstepped by showing up uninvited at his home, assuming he could move in.
Popular content creator and comedian, Peller, has opened up on the reason he cut ties with his former cameraman despite reportedly paying him ₦500,000 upfront.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Peller was seen discussing the issue with fellow skit maker, Carter Efe. When Carter inquired about the cameraman who used to work closely with him, Peller didn’t hold back.

According to Peller, the cameraman, though a graduate with a Master’s degree, lacked practical intelligence and overstepped professional boundaries. He recounted a moment when the young man showed up at his house uninvited, carrying a bag and claiming he had been chased from where he was staying — indirectly blaming Peller for his situation.
“He doesn’t know book,” Peller began. “I gave him five hundred thousand upfront. Then he came with a bag to my house saying he was chased from where he was staying, and that it was because I helped him. What kind of talk is that one?”
Peller made it clear that he was not the owner of the house and didn’t appreciate the assumption that employment equated to accommodation.

“I’m not the owner of that place. I don’t like him. Had it been that place is my place, normally I should be the one to tell him to come. I thought he had a house.”
Explaining further, the comedian admitted that his reason for employing a graduate cameraman in the first place was due to his own educational limitations, particularly when travelling abroad.

“The guy knows books. The reason I employed a graduate is because if I go to some places like America… you know I’m not academically sound. I employed him so he could help me in places that matter.”
Peller’s candid revelation has stirred reactions online, with fans debating both his expectations and the cameraman’s conduct.
