Representatives of Living Faith Church Worldwide and Deeper Christian Life Ministry have rejected allegations that former President Olusegun Obasanjo allocated oil wells to their leaders.
An RCCG media official, meanwhile, said the church would await evidence before responding.
The allegation originated from a circulating sermon by Ministers’ Prayer Network founder, Rev. Mosy Madugba, naming Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor William Kumuyi and Pastor Enoch Adeboye. No documentary evidence establishing the alleged allocations was presented in the video.
Living Faith’s media director, Patrick Nkamiang, disputed the claim, arguing that petroleum resources were governed by national regulations rather than a president’s personal discretion. He said the church would leave the matter to God instead of pursuing litigation.
An unnamed senior media aide to Kumuyi also rejected the allegation, saying the cleric remained focused on his religious calling.
Obasanjo’s media aide had not responded to requests for comment when the original report was published.
