Ebuka has dismissed critics, declaring, “If God sends me to the club, I will go,” while insisting he owes no one an explanation, adding that anyone who isn’t happy should “go hug a transformer.”

Gospel singer Ebuka, popularly known for the hit “I Will Pray”, is trending after a viral TikTok video sparked outrage from the Christian community. The video showed Ebuka cheering on social media comic Peller, who appeared to mock speaking in tongues with gibberish during a skit.

The clip drew sharp criticism from believers and some well-known pastors, who accused Ebuka of mocking the Holy Spirit. In response, the 33-year-old singer dismissed the backlash, declaring he is “accountable only to my fans” and adding that anyone upset can “go hug a transformer.”

Ebuka further stated that he could “minister in a club if I like,” accusing pastors of deceiving their congregations and failing to teach self-reliance in prayer. He also admitted to hiring sex workers—though only to pay them and send them away—arguing that the media ignores that part of his life while questioning his credibility as a man of God.

The singer, who once had gospel star Moses Bliss as a mentor, insists the criticism is part of an “industry agenda” against him. Meanwhile, Apostle Tolu Agbola warned that Ebuka risks losing his anointing if he continues on this path, saying, “This isn’t the Ebuka of two years ago.”

Reactions remain divided: some believe the singer’s career may suffer, while others insist the viral moment has been blown out of proportion.
