• The BBNaija star is now awaiting official confirmation to become Nigeria’s first beauty record holder.

Reality TV star and media personality Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has successfully completed her 24-hour Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in a single day.

The marathon session, which kicked off on Saturday at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History in Lagos, ended at exactly 8:30 p.m. on Sunday — marking a full day of non-stop makeup artistry.

Despite a few technical challenges, including a brief power outage during the early hours, Tacha powered through with resilience and completed 144 makeovers on both male and female models.

The participants featured notable personalities such as influencers Venita Akpofure, Mitchy, and the duo Wanni and Handi, representing a variety of skin tones and body types — a testament to Tacha’s skill and versatility.

Each transformation was professionally photographed and showcased during the Tacha Beauty Festival, the event that served as the platform for her record-breaking feat.

The atmosphere was electric as celebrities, fans, and dignitaries turned up to support her. Notable attendees included Toke Makinwa, Alex Unusual, Dabota Lawson, Ice Prince, Slimcase, Soma Anyama, Egungun of Lagos, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.

Tacha, who first rose to fame during Big Brother Naija Season 4, said the challenge was not just about setting a record but also about inspiring young women to dream bigger and believe in their craft.

The Guinness World Records team is expected to review and officially confirm her attempt in the coming days. If verified, Tacha will officially become the first Nigerian to hold this particular beauty record, marking a major milestone in her career and in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
