- DJ Cuppy says personal growth inspired her move away from her signature pink look, explaining that her identity extends beyond one colour.

Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has explained why she no longer wants her appearance defined by pink.
Speaking in a GQ Poland interview clip shared on X on Friday, Cuppy said her evolving fashion choices reflected personal growth.
“I don’t think I should be boxed into a colour,” she said.
The entertainer explained that pink had represented confidence, energy and self-expression throughout much of her career. Those qualities, she said, remained part of her personality even as she explored other colours.
Cuppy also linked her attachment to pink to establishing herself as a woman in a male-dominated industry. She said the colour helped her express her femininity during her early professional years.
Having gained experience and overcome barriers, she now feels able to express that identity through a wider range of styles.
Her explanation presents the change as an expansion of her self-expression, rather than a rejection of the personality associated with her familiar look.
