The demolition of a flashy luxury car lot linked to Ola of Lagos has stirred drama online after activist Deji Adeyanju alleged that the property actually belonged to another dealer — not the popular influencer.

The recent demolition of a popular luxury car stand in Lagos, reportedly owned by social media influencer and auto dealer, Ola of Lagos, has sparked fresh controversy after political activist Deji Adeyanju claimed that the property didn’t actually belong to him.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Adeyanju alleged that the demolished car lot was owned by another dealer, Elvis of Skywise Autos, not Ola of Lagos, as many had believed. According to him, Ola only rented a small office space within the compound but had misled followers online by suggesting ownership.

He wrote:

“The car stand demolished in Lagos was for my friend Elvis of SKYWISE Autos, but one guy who rented a mini office there was claiming ownership. If you like, believe online fake life on the gram and let them put you under pressure.”

Adeyanju’s post followed viral videos showing bulldozers from the Lagos State Government tearing down the luxury car stand. The clips caused an uproar on social media, with many expressing sympathy for Ola, who later reacted by saying he would “get a bigger place soon.”

However, Adeyanju’s latest revelation has thrown a twist into the story — suggesting that Ola may not have been the true owner of the property after all.

Online Reactions:

Social media users are split over the revelation.

While some defended Ola, praising his hard work and branding success, others sided with Adeyanju, arguing that social media has become a playground for exaggerated lifestyles.

One user, Micheal, commented:

“Egbon, I hardly believe people on X… fakism too much.”

Another, Jam, said:

“You mean someone who rented a mini office had a very big signage making the place look like his? No wonder he said on IG that he was smiling during the demolition.”

XYZ came to Ola’s defense:

“I just don’t expect this coming out from a so-called lawyer like you! How did he claim he owned the place?”

Man of Peace added:

“In that case, your friend knew that Ola was influencing for him. Both are in a partnership.”

Though the Lagos State Government has yet to issue an official statement clarifying the property’s true ownership, Adeyanju’s claim has reignited debates about “fake life” on social media — with many Nigerians urging youths not to be pressured by online displays of wealth and luxury.
