- Eze Eberechi erupted with his first Arsenal hat-trick in a dominant 4–1 victory over Tottenham, describing the feat as a “special” day he had prayed for.
Eberechi Eze hailed his “special” moment after his first-ever Arsenal hat-trick powered a commanding 4–1 win over north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday.
Eze dismantled Spurs with three composed finishes, following Leandro Trossard’s opener at the Emirates Stadium.
The 27-year-old had endured a relatively slow start since his £60 million move from Crystal Palace in August, but he delivered his finest performance yet against the club he previously rejected before choosing Mikel Arteta’s side.

“That’s a good one man. Enjoyable day. Happy to help the team and to win today was special,” Eze said.
“It is special. Words can’t explain this one today.”

Once rejected by Arsenal as a teenager, Eze has climbed back to the top through persistence and faith—qualities he credited after his man-of-the-match display.
“I prayed for it. This is what I pray for. I prayed for a hat-trick so I am grateful to God,” he said.
“That was the prayer today. God gave it to me and that is faith, man. All my family is here and that makes it even more special for me.”

Eze’s heroics strengthened Arsenal’s push for a first Premier League title since 2004, ending a run of three consecutive second-place finishes. His hat-trick was the first in a north London derby since 1978 and only the fourth in the historic rivalry.
Asked to choose his favourite goal of the three, Eze pointed to his strike just 35 seconds into the second half.
“They are all good. Maybe the second one. That was my favourite,” he said.
“All of them are good for me because I have been working on the process to get in that position so that’s good again.”
