• A woman has stirred mixed reactions online after saying a man should have offered to pay her church offering before asking for her phone number, arguing that the gesture would have shown genuine interest.

A woman has gone viral after sharing her disappointment over an encounter with a man during a church service, saying he missed an opportunity to make a good first impression before asking for her phone number.

According to her, the man sat beside her throughout the service and appeared interested in striking up a conversation but never made a move until after the service had ended.

She explained that the moment which stood out to her was during the offering collection, when she expected the man to offer to pay her offering as a gesture of kindness.

“I was in the church today, and there was this guy sitting down beside me. He was just looking at me and just giving me this vibe like, ‘I want to talk to this girl.’”

She said she remained quiet and allowed the service to continue, but was surprised when the man made no attempt to pay her offering.

“It was time for offering. This guy did not even make attempts to pay for my offering. And yet, I proceeded and paid for my offering.”

After the service, the man reportedly approached her and requested her phone number.

The woman questioned his approach, insisting that offering to cover her offering would have been a better way to express his interest.

“After the church, this guy had in mind to ask for my number. Like, he asked for my number. Why didn’t you pay for my offering first before asking for my number?”
