UNILORIN Announces 2026 Post-UTME Screening Dates, Sets Deadline for Registration

• The University of Ilorin has fixed August 13 to 15 for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise and urged candidates to complete registration before the August 9 deadline.

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced the schedule for its 2026/2027 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening exercise, with the examination set to hold from Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun.

According to the statement, the university’s Admissions Officer, AbdulKareem Kunle Sanni, advised all candidates who have successfully completed their screening registration to begin printing their examination slips from Monday, August 10, 2026.

“Candidates who have completed their screening application should begin printing their scheduled examination slips from Monday, August 10, 2026,” Sanni said.

The university also reminded prospective candidates that the online registration portal for both UTME and Direct Entry applicants will officially close on Sunday, August 9, 2026, urging those yet to register to do so before the deadline.

“The portal for screening registration will officially close on Sunday, August 9, 2026,” the statement noted.

Applicants were further encouraged to print their examination slips immediately they become available to confirm their scheduled examination dates, venues and time.

According to the institution, the key dates for the admission exercise are:

• Registration deadline (UTME & Direct Entry): Sunday, August 9, 2026
• Printing of examination slips begins: Monday, August 10, 2026
• Post-UTME screening exercise: Thursday, August 13 – Saturday, August 15, 2026

The university advised all applicants to complete every stage of the admission process within the stipulated deadlines through its official admissions portal to avoid disqualification.

The announcement comes months after the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), which was held between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
