A 48-years-old man, Mr. Adekola Adeshina has confessed he has been defiling his 10-years-old neigbour’s daughter, Faith Solomon.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that Adeshina made the confession in a statement to the operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command after he was arrested and interrogated.

According to the report made available to this News Online Media, the mother of the little girl, Rose Solomon who lives in the same neigbourhood with Adeshina at Prince & Princess Estate she started noticing his suspicious and usual movements around her daughter, Faith.

She quickly reported to Apo Divisional Police Headquarters at about 10:15am on February 22, 2023.

The lady told the police that she was suspecting her neighbor was having carnal knowledge of her daughter.

Police in their response quickly arrested the suspect; he was interrogated while Faith is undergoing a medical examination.

The Commissioner of Police FCT Command CP Sadiq Idris Abubakar who confirmed the crime advised parents and guardians to prioritize their children affairs and pay more attention to their behavioral changes.

He also urged that female children should be properly guided and enlighten in sexual matters in order to protect from such sexual harassment.

The police assured that the suspect will remain in their custody and will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
