UNICAL Suspends Prof Ndifon Over Alleged S3xual Harassment
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), UNICAL has set up a seven-man panel to investigate on the allegations brought before the professor.
The University of Calabar (UNICAL), has suspended professor Cyril Ndifon, a Dean of the Faculty of Law over an allegation of s3xual misconduct with students in the institution.
VerseNews reports that this comes following an intervention by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) setting up a panel to investigate on the matter.
Meanwhile, UNICAL in a statement issued on Tuesday by its registrar, Gabriel Egbe, replaced professor Ndifon with Rose Ugbe as the acting dean of the Faculty of Law.

The new acting dean whose appointment took effect on Tuesday would run until a substantive dean is elected for the faculty.
She is expected to oversee the faculty’s academic programmes.
Recall last week, some students of the department protested against the professor Ndifon.
The professor has since been suspended on August 17.
