Supreme Court Dismisses APC’s Case Against Enugu Governor’s Victory

The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal submitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Uche Nnaji, in the Enugu State governorship election.
VerseNews reports that the case was challenging the victory of Peter Mbah from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A five-member panel of the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that the legal team representing the APC and Nnaji had submitted an invalid brief of argument.
The legal team of APC failed to provide compelling reasons for the court to consider their flawed brief.
Justice Tijani Abubakar, in the lead judgment, determined that the invalidity of the brief extended to the entire appeal.
Consequently, the court dismissed both the brief and the appeal brought forth by the appellants.
