A tragic incident unfolded as a 26-year-old Nigerian university student named Blessing Karami was found dead one week after she was reported missing.

VerseNews reports that Blessing Karami, a student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), went missing on September 11, 2023, after leaving her workplace in Garki, Abuja.

Her older brother, Genesis Moses Karami, who had moved from Kaduna to Abuja to lead the search, discovered her decomposing body in the Karmo district of the Federal Capital Territory.

Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the family decided to arrange for environmental authorities to assist in moving and burying her body in the same location where she was found.

The police had detained a person named Aminu, who was allegedly Blessing’s boyfriend, for questioning regarding her disappearance.

The late student’s brother had received a mysterious call with information about her body’s location but later found out it was a false lead. Despite their efforts to contact the police, they faced difficulties and eventually had to go to the Karmo police station.

He recounted that the caller had continuously changed locations, frustrating the police’s efforts to locate the body.
