NUPENG Mobilises Tanker Drivers, Petrol Attendants, Others For Planned Labour Strike
The NLC insists on the government providing palliatives to offset the impact of petrol subsidy removal before the strike can be suspended.
The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has instructed its members to fully comply with the nationwide strike called by the organized labour, beginning on October 3.
Specifically, NUPENG has mandated compliance from Petroleum Tanker Drivers, Petrol station workers, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Retailers, and all other related workers in the petroleum products distribution chain starting from midnight on October 3.
VerseNews reports that this directive comes after the NLC denied reaching an agreement with the government to suspend the planned indefinite strike.
