The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has sacked the lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Ishaku Abbo.
VerseNews reports that the court in its ruling voided the election of Abbo of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC senator confirmed the development to newsmen the court voided his election in favour of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amos Yohanna.
Senator Abbo had won his re-election in the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election while Yohanna came second, as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to INEC< Senator Ishaku Abbo won the election after scoring 71, 927 votes while Amos scored 61,895 votes to come second.
