Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed his belief that the merger of Nigeria’s opposition parties will strengthen their position against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

VerseNews reports that Atiku, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2023 presidential election, highlighted the importance of protecting democracy and raised concerns about actions leading Nigeria toward a one-party dictatorship under the APC.

During a meeting with the National Executive Committee of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Atiku urged opposition parties to form a stronger front against this perceived threat.
