FG, States, LGAs Shares N2.094 Trillion Revenue in Only October, Details

  • The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed N2.094 trillion to the Federal Government, 36 states, and 774 local government councils for October 2025, according to a communiqué released after its November meeting in Abuja.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of N2.094 trillion among the Federal Government of Nigeria, State Governments, and Local Government Councils as part of the October 2025 Federation Account revenue.

The figures were released in a statement by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry of Finance, following FAAC’s November meeting held in Abuja.

According to the statement, the N2.094 trillion distributable revenue consisted of:

FAAC disclosed that the total gross revenue for October stood at N2.934 trillion. From this, N115.278 billion was deducted as the cost of collection, while N724.603 billion went into transfers, interventions, refunds, and strategic savings.

The communiqué further revealed that gross statutory revenue for October was N2.164 trillion, slightly higher than the N2.128 trillion recorded in September—an increase of N36.832 billion.

Conversely, gross VAT revenue dropped from N872.630 billion in September to N719.827 billion in October, representing a decline of N152.803 billion.

Breakdown of the N2.094 Trillion Distribution

  • Federal Government: N758.405 billion
  • State Governments: N689.120 billion
  • Local Government Councils: N505.803 billion
  • 13% Derivation (Mineral-producing states): N141.359 billion

From the N1.376 trillion statutory revenue, the Federal Government received N650.680 billion, while States received N330.033 billion. The remaining amounts were allocated according to constitutional sharing formulas.
