FRSC Officer and Daughter Feared Killed for Rituals, Suspect Confesses
  • Authorities say a key suspect has confessed to being involved in the disappearance of FRSC officer Funmilayo Lasisi and her young daughter, as investigators uncover a disturbing plot linked to alleged ritual activities.

Fresh revelations have emerged regarding the disappearance of Funmilayo Lasisi, a senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Abeokuta, whose case triggered widespread concern earlier this month.

According to investigative journalist Temilola Sobola, who detailed the incident on Instagram, Funmilayo was last seen on November 2, 2025, after she was allegedly lured to Osun State by a male acquaintance identified as Victor, under the pretext of seeking “spiritual consultation.”

Police investigations later led officers to a residence belonging to a herbalist in the state. During interrogation, the herbalist reportedly confessed that Victor and his associates were involved in the killing of Funmilayo and that the act was connected to alleged ritual activities.

He further claimed that Funmilayo’s young daughter, Sewa, had been in his custody before Victor and others took her away to an unknown location. The child’s fate remains uncertain.

Following the incident, Victor fled Nigeria and escaped to Ghana to evade arrest, prompting Nigerian authorities to declare him wanted.

Sobola has now confirmed that Ghanaian police have apprehended Victor and are collaborating with Nigerian investigators to expedite his extradition. Police say he will face prosecution upon his return to Nigeria as the investigation continues.
