INEC Clears Tinubu’s Election Victory With Certificate Of Returns

As a requirement to clear a candidate who wins election freely, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has on Wednesday May 1 issued a Certificate of Return to the President Elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahood Yakubu, who also supervised the 2023 electoral processes at the International Conference Centre in Abuja presented the certificate to Tinubu.

The Vice President Elect, Kashin Shettima was also given a Certificate of Return at the event.

The former Lagos State Governor was announced the winner of the 2023 presidential election at the earlier hours of Wednesday after defeating his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
