A young man, identified as Stephen Jiya, has been sentenced to death by hanging in Niger State for roasting his mother, Comfort Jiya, to death.

VerseNews reports that the State’s Chief Judge, Justice Halima Abdulmalik, in his judgement said Stephen was guilty of culpable homicide, punishable under Section 221 of the Penal Code Law, which attracts the death penalty.
