Tola Odeyemi, the recently appointed CEO of the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST), has officially started her new role at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

VerseNews confirmed that Odeyemi is currently in a meeting with the management of NIPOST as of the time of filing this report.

VerseNews earlier reported how aggrieved workers of the service shut down the head office in Abuja, saying they were against her appointment.

Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) Tola Odeyemi has assumed duty at the headquarters of the agency in Abuja.

Earlier, on Friday, NIPOST had issued a statement claiming that Sunday Adepoju has been reinstated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

But, in a video trending online, Adepoju was seen leaving NIPOST’s headquarters on Monday.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had last week sacked Adepoju as CEO/Post Master General of the agency and appointed Odeyemi.

The announcement made by Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesperson, was part of the leadership shuffle implemented for agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy.
