In a public statement shared on social media, Pastor Enenche clarified that he had no intention of publicly shaming Ms. Veronica.

The statement explained that the pastor doubted her testimony because of her spoken English and her reference to the degree as a BSc rather than an LLB. Pastor Enenche expressed his firm stance against mediocrity and dishonesty, which he believed were present in this case.

The statement also mentioned that Pastor Enenche had reached out to Ms. Veronica, indicating an effort to resolve the matter privately and amicably.

@leaublue wrote “An apology that could not come directly from him is useless.”

Whether her spoken English met the minimum standards required of a graduate is no reason why she should be embarrassed and spoken to like a child.”

@Mojifolawe wrote “The first, second and 3rd paragraph was very unnecessary.”

@TechieHR wrote “Now I see why a prominent member would prefer to die in silence rather than speak out to face further persecution or emotional blackmail. WHAT IS THE CHURCH OF GOD DOING THESE END-TIME DAYS?💔”
