Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South, under the Young Progressive Party, YPP, has switched to the party in power, the All Progressives Congress.
VerseNews reports that a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio containing the news of his defection was read aloud in front of the Senate on Thursday.
In the letter, Ubah claimed that the insurmountable differences within the YPP were the reason he had decided to switch parties despite having won a second term under that party in the previous elections.
