Tinubu Tenders Academic Records From Chicago State University, Opens Defence At Tribunal

This comes as the Tinubu commenced his defence against the petition lodged by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has tendered his academic records from Chicago State University as he opens defence at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).

VerseNews Nigeria reports that this comes as the Tinubu commenced his defence against the petition lodged by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Tinubu’s legal representative, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) presented copies of these documents during the court proceedings.

Also a 2007 letter from the United States Embassy in Nigeria which cleared Tinubu of any criminal charges in the US was tendered.

The lawyer also submitted the letter of request from the Nigeria Police to the US Embassy. The academic records from Chicago State University comprised 12 certified documents.

These records were endorsed on June 28, 2023 by Jamar C. Orr, the Associate General Counsel at the Office of Legal Affairs at Chicago State University.

The defence team also presented 6 documents related to his immigration & visa records.
