Twitter Users Tackle Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah For ‘Not Patronizing Innoson Motors’

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah set to launch the Distress Response Squad (DRS) to combat violent crimes in the State as first batch of patrol cars fitted with communication equipment ordered by the Governor arrived the State.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that the Governor said the new development is part of the proactive measures of his administration to ensure security of lives and properties in the state.

Mbah further said the DRS will now replace the comatose Police Urban Patrol with the sole responsibility of responding to security issues in the streets of the Enugu.

“I have set up a new team of the police branded Distress Rapid Squad (DRS), to replace the comatose Police Urban Patrol. They will patrol the streets of Enugu with a view to rapidly respond to security issues in our state.”

“This is part of the proactive measures of my administration to ensure security of lives and properties, and the total wellbeing of Ndi Enugu. It is my priority to ensure that Enugu State is safe to enable exponential economic growth,” the Governor wrote via his verified twitter account.

However, the idea seems not to go down well as many twitter users tackled the Governor who for not patronizing “Innoson Vehicle manufacturing” operating in Nigeria and with its headquarter at Nnewi, Anambra State.
