A resurfaced interview of 20-year-old Favour Agbro, the young woman who allegedly died after being raped by a Delta-based content creator, has gone viral on social media, leaving many Nigerians heartbroken.
The interview, originally conducted in Asaba by content creator Itz Patorchizzy, resurfaced on Facebook on Thursday following reports of her death.
In the emotional clip, Favour spoke openly about her personal values, revealing that she had no boyfriend and intended to remain a virgin until marriage.
When asked if she had a boyfriend, she simply replied, “No.”
Asked why she was still single, she said, “Nothing, I just don’t have any.”
The interviewer then asked about her body count, to which she responded, “None.”
When asked directly if she was still a virgin, Favour answered, “Yes.”
She also disclosed that she was about to turn 21.
Speaking about relationships, the young woman said she hoped to find a partner who respected her decision to abstain from sex until marriage.
“I’m looking for a boyfriend, but it’s not really easy. It will be someone that is ready to wait till marriage,” she said.
When asked if she truly intended to preserve her virginity until marriage, she answered in the affirmative.
The interview has since generated widespread reactions online, with many expressing sadness over the contrast between her aspirations and the tragic circumstances surrounding her death.
The video resurfaced just a day after the Delta State Police Command announced the arrest of popular content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as “Odogwu of Asaba,” over allegations that he raped the 20-year-old woman.
According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, the suspect allegedly invited Favour to Asaba on June 1, 2026, with a promise to train her in content creation.
Police alleged that after she arrived, Ogbonna took her to a hotel where he allegedly raped and physically assaulted her.
Investigators said Favour later returned home visibly distressed and informed her parents about the incident.
The police further disclosed that the deceased recorded a video detailing the alleged assault and the emotional trauma she experienced afterward.
According to the statement, she later ingested a toxic substance in an apparent suicide attempt and died despite efforts to save her.
Following a petition from the family, the Commissioner of Police in Delta State, Yemi Oyeniyi, directed the Area Command in Effurun to launch an investigation.
Police confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and has made useful statements during interrogation. Authorities added that investigations are ongoing and assured the public that anyone found culpable would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
