The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the sale of application forms for the 2027 Hajj and Ramadan Umrah, urging intending pilgrims to register early and begin making payments in line with directives from Saudi authorities and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The announcement was made on Monday by the Board’s Secretary, Abdul-Hakeem Ajomagberin, who disclosed that the Hajj application form costs ₦20,000, while the Ramadan Umrah form is priced at ₦10,000.

According to him, intending Hajj pilgrims are required to pay an initial deposit of ₦7 million through a bank draft issued by any commercial bank in favour of the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

He noted that the final Hajj fare would be announced after NAHCON releases the official approved cost, adding that any increase or reduction would be communicated to registered pilgrims.

The Board fixed September 2026 as the deadline for payment of the initial deposit.

He advised applicants to ensure they obtain official receipts for every payment made to the Board.

According to the Board, early registration will enable NAHCON to complete visa processing, accommodation bookings, airlift arrangements and other logistics with Saudi authorities before the pilgrimage.

Ajomagberin said the 2027 pilgrimage package includes accommodation located within walking distance of the Haram, reliable transportation, daily breakfast and dinner featuring local meals, medical services, spiritual guidance and guided visits to important religious and historical sites in Makkah and Madinah.
