NFF Begins Hunt For Peseiro’s Replacement As New Super Eagles Head Coach With Social Media Advert
NFF has started the search for Jose Peseiro’s replacement in the Super Eagles head coach.
The Nigeria Football Federation( NFF) has started the search for Jose Peseiro’s replacement in the Super Eagles head coach.
The Nigeria Football Federation has launched an ambitious search for a new manager to lead the Super Eagles into an exciting new era following Jose Peseiro’s departure.
VerseNews reports that the NFF has posted an advertisement inviting “passionate and experienced” coaches to apply for the vacant Super Eagles head coach role after Peseiro’s nearly two-year tenure ended.
The Portuguese tactician left his position in early March after guiding Nigeria to a valiant Africa Cup of Nations final appearance, where they were edged out by hosts Ivory Coast.
While surpassing his semi-final target, the NFF ultimately decided to part ways with Peseiro to recruit an elite manager capable of building on that platform.
In a statement calling for applicants, the Nigerian FA outlined it is seeking a driven individual with “relevant coaching qualifications” and a “proven track record in leading teams at the elite level of football”.
The successful candidate will be tasked with inspiring the three-time AFCON champions to greater heights and ending their 10-year wait for a fourth continental crown.
With talents like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, and Alex Iwobi establishing themselves among the continent’s best, the Super Eagles have an outstanding crop of players primed for success.
The NFF has made it clear knowledge of African football will be viewed as a significant advantage for prospective applicants aiming to maximise the potential of the latest generation of Super Eagles stars.
It promises to be one of the most attractive international roles available, with applications set to flood worldwide.
