The Kogi governor discreetly escorted former governor Yahaya Bello into his convoy, allowing him to leave his residence despite the presence of EFCC operatives.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives have vacated the Abuja residence of Yahaya Bello, former governor of Kogi State. Earlier, the operatives had restricted movement around the property on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4.

After a few hours, Usman Ododo, the current governor of Kogi, arrived at Bello’s residence and later left with the former governor.

An EFCC official could be overheard on a phone call confirming that Bello was inside Ododo’s car as it departed.

VerseNews gathered that the Kogi governor discreetly escorted former governor Yahaya Bello into his convoy, allowing him to leave his residence despite the presence of EFCC operatives.

Shortly after Ododo and Bello left the residence, the EFCC personnel also withdrew from the scene.
