Ned Nwoko Gives Condition to Release Regina Daniel’s Brother, Sammy
The family of Nollywood star Regina Daniels has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of detaining her brother, Sammy West.
- The family of Nollywood star Regina Daniels has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of detaining her brother, Sammy West, and allegedly vowing not to release him until the actress returns to his home.
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ older brother, Sweezy Daniels, has cried out on social media over the arrest and alleged detention of their younger brother, Samuel Daniels, popularly known as Sammy West.
Sweezy, in a post shared via his Instagram account on Monday, claimed Sammy was arrested in Lagos on November 3 and subsequently transferred to Abuja, where his current whereabouts remain unknown.
He accused Regina’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of intimidation and abuse of power, alleging that the arrest had gone beyond a lawful process.

According to Sweezy, Sammy has been denied access to legal representation, food, or water since his detention.
“Sammy does not have a right to legal aid. Sammy has had nothing to eat or drink. Sammy’s location has been undisclosed. Is this still an arrest, kidnap, or intimidation and power abuse?” he wrote.
He further alleged that Ned Nwoko threatened to keep Sammy in custody until Regina returns to his home.

“Ned said, and I quote, ‘If Regina does not come back home, Sammy will never be released.’ If you want to go to court, let’s go to court. Why obstruct his right to legal aid?” Sweezy alleged.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has reacted to the incident, clarifying that its officers were not responsible for the arrest.
A statement released on Tuesday explained that the arrest was carried out by police personnel from Abuja, who arrived in Lagos with a valid warrant.
According to the Command, Samuel was briefly held at the Ogombo Police Division because the arrest took place late at night before he was transferred to Abuja for further investigation.

The development has since sparked public reactions online, with fans expressing concern over the family’s safety and calling for transparency in the ongoing case.
