The Recording Academy has announced the full list of nominees for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will celebrate the finest musical achievements released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025.
This year’s edition introduces two new categories — Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover — as part of the Academy’s ongoing efforts to honor the evolving landscape of the global music industry.
Leading the nominations is Kendrick Lamar, who tops the list with nine nominations, reinforcing his status as a modern hip-hop legend. Following closely is Lady Gaga with seven nominations, making history as the most-nominated female artist of the 2026 Grammys. Her critically acclaimed album MAYHEM earned her a fifth career nod for Album of the Year, further cementing her cross-genre influence.

Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter continues her rapid ascent with her sophomore nomination for Album of the Year through Man’s Best Friend, while Bad Bunny and Tyler, The Creator also scored major recognition across top categories.
In the Best New Artist category, this year’s competition is fierce — featuring KATSEYE, Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, Sombr, and other breakout stars redefining contemporary sound.
African artists delivered a strong showing, led by Burna Boy, who bagged two major nominations — Best African Music Performance for “Love” and Best Global Music Album for No Sign of Weakness. Nigeria’s music scene continues to shine with nominations for Davido, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid, alongside other continental heavyweights like Angélique Kidjo (Benin), Eddy Kenzo (Uganda), Tyla (South Africa), and Youssou N’Dour (Senegal).
The Best African Music Performance category is dominated by Nigerian acts, while the Global Music Album category features a lineup of internationally renowned performers, reinforcing Africa’s growing influence on the world stage.
