  • Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has accused billionaire senator Ned Nwoko of abusing police power to imprison nine villagers and oppress ordinary citizens, sparking heated debates online.

Human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has made fresh allegations against billionaire businessman and senator Ned Nwoko, claiming that the lawmaker has used the Nigerian Police Force to intimidate and unlawfully detain members of his own community

In a viral video circulating online, Sowore said he met nine individuals who had been imprisoned as a result of conflicts involving Nwoko.

“This so-called billionaire was just throwing people in prison. When we got to prison, we found nine people who had been put in prison by Ned Nwoko from his village,” Sowore alleged.

The activist accused Nwoko of ruining lives through what he described as a systematic abuse of police authority. He emphasized that his fight was not about actress Regina Daniels, Nwoko’s estranged wife, but about confronting a political system where powerful individuals allegedly weaponize law enforcement to oppress ordinary citizens.
