The family of late singer Mohbad has confirmed that his burial will take place once a crucial DNA test is concluded. This was disclosed by the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, on December 2 during court proceedings concerning the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam.

According to Mr. Aloba, the ongoing delay in laying Mohbad to rest stems from the unresolved DNA controversy, which has been a focal point of public discussion since the singer’s passing.

“Today is the DNA court case. I am telling the whole world that DNA is the most important thing, and this is what is delaying the burial of Mohbad. After the DNA is done, we will move on to burying Mohbad,” Aloba said.

The revelation has drawn significant attention from fans, legal stakeholders, and the public, many of whom have expressed frustration over the prolonged delay. Social media users have continued to debate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and questioned why the final burial has not yet occurred.

Another, Gwasi, questioned the delay:
“Why did he rush to bury him then came up with DNA after his body was exhumed for autopsy? I don’t understand. Two years plus and he hasn’t been laid to rest.”

Despite the public scrutiny, the Aloba family remains committed to completing the DNA process, emphasizing it as a necessary step in seeking truth and closure before performing the final burial rites.
