Controversial Nigerian cleric Chukwuemeka Odumeje has sparked reactions online after delivering a blunt message about constant complaints during prayers.

The outspoken preacher made the remarks while addressing members of his congregation during a church service at the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry.

During the sermon, the General Overseer cautioned believers against always focusing on their problems when praying, urging them to also show gratitude to God for the gift of life.

Speaking passionately, Odumeje warned that excessive complaints without appreciation could reflect a failure to recognize the blessings people still have despite their challenges.

“There is a way you will complain too much to God, He will kill you by Himself because you’re not the only person He created. You can’t even appreciate Him for keeping you alive,” he said during the service.

The cleric further noted that many people spend most of their time presenting their problems to God but rarely take time to thank Him for the life they still have.

“Every time you complain, you can not even appreciate the life you have at all,” he added.

Driving home his point, Odumeje said there comes a point where constant complaints may overshadow gratitude in one’s relationship with God.

“There is a way you will complain your problem God will tell you my dear you complain too much,” he stated.
