  • JAMB cut-off mark 2026: JAMB has approved the minimum admission scores for the 2026/2027 academic session. Here is the official cut-off mark for universities, polytechnics, nursing schools and colleges.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the approved minimum admission scores for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to JAMB, the minimum tolerable admission scores are:

JAMB also confirmed that the minimum age for admission into tertiary institutions remains 16 years.

However, candidates should understand that the JAMB cut-off mark is only the national minimum. It does not mean every candidate who scores 150 will automatically gain admission into a university.

Many institutions and competitive courses may set higher cut-off marks.

For example, courses such as Medicine, Law, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Accounting and Computer Science may require higher scores depending on the school.

  2. Confirm the school’s departmental cut-off mark.
  3. Monitor Post-UTME or screening announcements.
  4. Upload O’level results to JAMB CAPS.

  6. Avoid fake admission agents.

Can I Gain Admission With 150?

Yes, a score of 150 may qualify you for some universities, but your chance depends on the school, course, Post-UTME score, O’level result and admission quota.

For highly competitive courses, candidates are advised to aim higher.
