The U.S Supreme Court has blocked the plan by President Joe Biden to cancel $430 billion in student loan debt.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that the Court in a ruling on Friday said that Biden administration does not have the authority to cancel the debt of millions of American students.

The 6-3 decision was split along the court’s ideological lines with the conservative majority prevailing.

This Online News Media gathered that the move to cancel the debt loan is in fulfillment of Biden’s campaign promise and will benefit up to 43 million Americans.

Reacting to the decision by the Court, Biden condemns ruling and vowed never to stop fighting until he fulfill his agenda.

“Today’s decision has closed one path. Now we’re going to pursue another,” Biden said at the White House

“I’m never going to stop fighting for you. We’ll use every tool at our disposal to get you the student debt relief you need – and reach your dreams,” he added
