‘Why I Withdrew My Ministerial Interest’ – El-Rufai

Barely 48 hours after the former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Villa, there are reports that former governor of Kaduna state who is among the minister designate has withdrew his interest.

Further details revealed that El-Rufai said he rather contribute his quota to the growth and development of the country to the Tinubu’s administration as a private citizen, according to Premium Times.

Also, a source was quoted him saying, “He also told the president that he needed time to focus on his doctorate programme at a university in The Netherlands.”

In his replacement, El-Rufai Jafaru Ibrahim Sani, for Kaduna State, an individual the President would find him very useful and resourceful.

Mr Sani served as commissioner in three ministries in Kaduna State (Local Government Education and Environment) while Mr El-Rufai was governor.
