The Court of Appeal in Asaba has upheld the sacking of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as the senator-elect for Delta North Senatorial District, affirming the earlier decision of the Federal High Court in Abuja and the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Tribunal.
VerseNews reports that Nwaoboshi was removed as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate following a suit filed by Ned Nwoko challenging Nwaoboshi’s election in the party’s primaries.
The Appeal Court found Nwaoboshi’s appeal lacking in merit and dismissed it without awarding any costs.
This decision confirms Ned Nwoko as the rightful PDP candidate for the Delta North Senatorial District.
