BREAKING: Presidency Uncovers Plot By Sub-Regional Forces To Destabilize Nigeria
President Bola Tinubu
  • President Tinubu delays his Africa trip to oversee rescue operations for 24 kidnapped Kebbi schoolgirls and respond to a deadly attack on church worshippers in Kwara State.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned visits to Johannesburg, South Africa, and Luanda, Angola, to focus on urgent security developments in Nigeria.

The decision comes in the wake of the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and a violent attack on worshippers at Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State.

In response to the attacks, President Tinubu directed an increased deployment of security personnel to Eruku and the broader Ekiti Local Government Area. He also ordered the police to apprehend the bandits responsible for targeting churchgoers.

Originally, President Tinubu was scheduled to attend the 20th G20 Summit in South Africa and the 7th AU-EU Summit in Angola. However, security concerns prompted him to suspend his departure.
