President Bola Tinubu has approved 27 major road projects worth more than ₦3.9 trillion across 15 states, in one of the Federal Government’s biggest infrastructure investments in recent years.
The approval covers projects across Adamawa, Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Niger, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Taraba, and Yobe States, with funding directed towards new roads, dual carriageways, flyovers, rehabilitation works, and expressway concessions.
According to the Minister of Works, David Umahi, the projects include the ₦1.8 trillion re-award of the 409-kilometre dual carriageway project in Niger State under the Tax Credit Scheme to Aliko Dangote, making it the single largest project approved.
Other major approvals include the ₦276 billion dualisation of the Ilorin–Ogbomoso Road, ₦265 billion reconstruction of the Iseyin–Eruwa–Agbesi Road, ₦217 billion dualisation of the Ijaye–FGC–Ilorin Road, and ₦116 billion reconstruction of the Abakaliki–Afikpo Road.
Additional projects span road construction, rehabilitation, and flyover bridges in several states, including Oyo, Kwara, Kogi, Adamawa, Taraba, Plateau, Lagos, Ekiti, Ondo, Benue, Cross River, Osun, Ebonyi, and Yobe.
Umahi also announced that the first 118-kilometre section of the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Highway, valued at ₦137 billion, has been completed, while work on the remaining 164-kilometre section is expected to be completed by November.

- ₦92 billion – Baban-Lamba–Sharan Road (Plateau).
- ₦86 billion – Enugu–Abakaliki Road reconstruction.
- ₦86 billion – Adikpo–Ajayi–Tese–Akpa–Otukpo Road.
- ₦83 billion – Jimeta–Mayo Belwa Road (Adamawa).
- ₦82 billion – Igbeti Road rehabilitation.
- ₦74 billion – Igbeti–Soro–Kishi Road.
- ₦71 billion – Dabban–Makina Road (Niger).
- ₦62.99 billion – Tungo–Karamti Road with five bridges.
- ₦58 billion – Yola–Hong–Mubi Road rehabilitation.
- ₦46 billion – Amasiri–Okporojo Road.
- ₦34 billion – Ikere-Ekiti–Ijare Road.
- ₦26 billion – New flyover on the Trans-Sahara Road.

- ₦15.7 billion – Pacific Road, Ikorodu (Lagos).
- ₦15.5 billion – Badeku–Jaiye Road (Oyo).
- ₦15.246 billion – Yola–Fufore–Gurin Road Phase II.
- ₦15 billion – Gashua Road augmentation (Yobe).
- Approval for the operation and maintenance concession of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, alongside the reconstruction of failed sections on the Ibadan axis using concrete.
