The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially confirmed the arrest of Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, a renowned crossdresser.
Contrary to earlier reports, which suggested Bobrisky’s arrest had not occurred, recent developments indicate otherwise according to our Correspondents.
Reportedly apprehended at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State on April 3, 2024, at 3 p.m., Bobrisky’s arrest has sparked widespread attention.
VerseNews reports that Bobrisky’s arrest was confirmed by a spokesperson for EFCC, Dele Oyewale.
Oyewale asserted that Bobrisky was arrested and detained for alleged currency mutilation and abuse of the Nigerian currency, the Naira.
As per Oyewale’s statement, Bobrisky is currently being held in EFCC’s facility in Lagos and is expected to face charges in court imminently.
