EPISODE 1: Guilty as Charged – A Marriage in Crisis:

Bola and Tunde’s marriage seemed perfect on the surface. They were the power couple -young, successful, and with a beautiful son, Duro. Bola had worked hard to make their house a home, balancing her career as an accountant and her duties as a mother.

Tunde, a well-regarded lawyer, seemed to have it all. But recently, things have started to feel off. Tunde’s late nights at the office, distant behavior, and secretive phone calls have raised Bola’s suspicions.

It all came to a head one night when Bola decided to confront him. She had spent the entire evening with their son, while Tunde was away again, allegedly at work.

Bola sat on the couch, her thoughts a storm of anxiety and doubt. She remembered the days when Tunde would call her during lunch breaks, just to check on her and the baby. But now, their conversations were brief, and he seemed irritated at any attempt to talk.

Bola (thinking to herself): What’s going on, Tunde? Who are you becoming?

When Tunde finally arrived home late that night, Bola was waiting. The air between them was thick with unspoken tension.

Bola: “Tunde, we need to talk.”

Tunde: (removes his jacket, sighs) “Bola, it’s late. Can we talk in the morning?”

Bola: (sternly) “No, Tunde. Now. You’ve been coming home late for weeks, and I’ve been patient. But I need to know what’s going on. What’s going on with you?”

Tunde hesitated. His eyes darted around, avoiding hers. Then, he shifted uncomfortably. His mind raced—was she beginning to suspect? The last thing he wanted was to admit the truth.

Tunde: “It’s just work, Bola. Nothing else.”

Bola: (raising her voice) “Don’t lie to me, Tunde. I know you. And this is not just work. You’ve been acting distant. You’ve been acting strange. Tell me the truth!”

Tunde: (pauses, then speaks softly) “Bola… please, just trust me. It’s nothing.”

But deep down, Bola knew something was off. His voice lacked conviction. She had been patient, but now she had to face the painful reality that her husband might be hiding something.
