Veteran journalist and publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, has described Nigeria’s current situation as the most difficult period in the country’s history, citing worsening economic hardship and insecurity under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking during an interview with journalist Rufai Oseni on Nevon Media, Momodu said the Federal Government has failed to acknowledge or take responsibility for the hardship facing millions of Nigerians.

According to him, the level of suffering across the country has become overwhelming.

“These days, even for me to open some messages on my phone, I’m scared, because everyone is begging. The suffering of the people,” he said.

The 66-year-old media entrepreneur said his age has given him a broad perspective on Nigeria’s political history, but insisted that the country’s current challenges are unprecedented.
