The burial arrangements for Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has officially announced the burial arrangements for Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away yesterday in a London hospital.
Speaking at a press briefing in Katsina, Governor Radda said that, after consultations with the late President’s family and close associates in London, it has been agreed that Buhari’s remains will arrive Katsina on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, by 12:00 noon.

The governor further disclosed that the burial will take place the same day in Daura, Buhari’s hometown, at 2:00 p.m.
The announcement comes amid ongoing national mourning and tributes from across the country and abroad, following Buhari’s death after a prolonged illness.
