The Nigerian Army has arrested a notorious IPOB/ESN commander, Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, also known as Gentle de Yahoo, during a raid in Okigwe, Imo State.
The Nigerian Army has confirmed the arrest of a notorious IPOB/ESN commander, Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, popularly known as Gentle de Yahoo, during a raid in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
A source at Army Headquarters told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the operation, carried out on Sunday under Operation UDO KA, followed credible intelligence on the suspect’s hideouts.
Troops recovered an English pistol, 120 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 25 rounds of 7.62 NATO ammunition, a live cartridge, six mobile phones, as well as police and military uniforms. A criminal workshop for dismantling stolen vehicles was also uncovered, with 10 motorcycles destroyed.

According to the source, the operation dealt a major blow to IPOB/ESN elements engaged in kidnapping, arms possession, impersonation, and the sale of stolen vehicle parts in the South East.
