A young couple abducted by armed kidnappers in Edo State has appealed for help after their captors threatened to kill them if a ₦50 million ransom is not paid.

The victims—a husband and his pregnant wife—were reportedly taken from their home in the Aviele community near Auchi. Following the abduction, the kidnappers contacted the family and released a video showing the couple being held under threat.

In the clip, which has since circulated online, the couple appears visibly distressed as they plead for assistance. The husband mentions that his wife is pregnant while both beg for mercy as the captors restate their ransom demand.

Sources claim the kidnappers warned that failure to pay the ₦50 million could result in dire consequences for the couple. Additional photos and videos of the house where they were taken have surfaced online, drawing widespread attention.
