In a video trending on social media, the Chairman of the Lagos Parks and Garages, Musliu Akinsanya known as MC Oluomo has vowed never to allow the Igbos exercise their franchise in the gubernatorial and states assemble elections scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 18.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that Oluomo while addressing Lagosians in a town hall meeting warned that any Lagos residents that won’t support the present state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of All progressives Congress (APC) should stay at home.
He noted that it is not a fight to vote but voting for APC is against the will of Lagosians and can not be accepted.
He threatens that no Igbo in the state will vote during the election adding that all Yorubas in the state should come to their polling units and make sure they vote first.
“We’ve begged them, if they don’t vote for us, please it’s not a fight. Go to them and tell them, ‘Iya Chukwu’ please if you don’t want to vote for us, stay at home’
Is’s not a fight, it’s not chaos; we need our PVC’s we the yorubas should get there early. All Yorubas should vote first. After voting let’s wait and observe.”

This Online News Media observed that there is a massive support for the governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP), Gbadegbo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) by Igbos living in the state which has triggered religious sentiments and fights between the opposition parties.
During the presidential and national assembly election, this Online News Media reported that Oluomo and his supporters stopped the Igbos in the state from voting the presidential flag bearer of LP, Peter Obi.
There were several records of attacks, ballot snatching and fights without immediate intervention of police or security personnel.
