The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded 2,309 results out of the 2,445 polling units on its Result Viewing (IReV) Portal as of Saturday evening, representing 94.4 percent of all polling unit results from the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election.
The latest figure shows a significant increase in the rate of result transmission as collation of votes continues across the state.
A total of 14 candidates are contesting the off-cycle governorship election, with incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking re-election ahead of the expiration of his first-term mandate in October.
His major challengers include Oluwole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oluwadare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oyebanji Olajuyin of the Labour Party (LP), and Blessing Abegunde of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Other candidates in the race are:

- Victor Adetunji (ZLP)
Results are still being uploaded to the IReV portal as electoral officials continue the collation process across the state, with the final outcome of the election expected to be announced upon completion of the exercise.
